After losing two in a row to featherweight champion Max Holloway, Jose Aldo is looking to get back on track by fighting another dangerous guy, Jeremy Stephens. Recently we saw Jeremy Stephens win by brutal KO against Josh Emmett. He is on a 3 fight win streak. UFC 224 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 12. Aldo is interested in fighting Jeremy on this card.
Jose Aldo has lost 3 out of his last 4, he is the 2nd ranked guy at featherweight, behind Brian Ortega, who will be getting the next shot at the title. Jeremy Stephens is the 5th ranked guy at featherweight, this fight makes a lot of sense. If Jeremy can win this one, it would really push him to the front of title contenders. Jose had this to say about a match up with Jeremy.
“I asked to fight him, he asked to fight me, so it will be a great fight,” Aldo said. “I’m waiting for them to set it up.”
