As many of you know Mark Hunt had a fight scheduled for the UFC Fight Night Sydney card. He was pulled from that card and replaced with Fabricio Werdum as the main event. Mark did an interview where he said somethings that made the UFC question how fit he was to fight. Here is part of that interview and part of what he said that led to him being pulled
Sometimes I don’t sleep well. You can hear me starting to stutter and slur my words. My memory is not that good anymore. I’ll forget something I did yesterday but I can remember the shit I did years and years ago. That’s just the price I’ve paid – the price of being a fighter. But I’ve fought a lot of drug cheats and copped a lot of punishment from guys who were cheating and that’s not right.
That’s just part of what he said, but between that and the lawsuit that Mark currently has going on against the UFC, because of how they handled Brock Lesnar’s failed drug test before UFC 200, it wasn’t a hard choice to pull Mark. They did the same thing to Cain Velazquez.
Mark had to have a full medical analysis at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas. He checked out fine and the UFC has now cleared mark to resume his fight career.
